The First Train Runs

As you can see in the report on laying the main, part way through, we had approximately 25' of the Bloomsburg branch laid, and seeing that I had promised Simon that we'd run a train before I went on a weeklong trip to London which was the following day, then it was time to run a train.....

I left the choice to Simon and he picked his Amtrak P42 Genesis plus a superliner. He did pick a Lackawanna heavyweight observation car to round out the train.

Totally non-period, but I did give him the choice of what he wanted to run - and Amtrak is his favorite!

The train has been assembled, DDC applied to the track and we're ready to roll....
