Phase II Turnaround

Phase I consisted of getting continuous running off the ground as soon as possible.

This was made possible by the Bloomsburg branch which disappeared and miraculously appeared east of Scranton, west of Nay Aug.

Phase II gives us continuous running on the main with no branch line necessary. It also increases the mainline run to something like 125 feet.

This is achieved with a turnaround in the storage room.

This was constructed with the same techniques that I used for the other modular sections.

The main-line bus is the only one that continues down this section. I have wired it with a Digitrax AR-1 controlling the single reversing section

Here you can see the initial setup with the radii and turnout sizes indicated.

The mainline radius is 22" and the tightest is 19". Mainly #10 on the main-line.

The basic dimension is 82.5" long and 44" wide.

The extension on the bottom left corner of the photo is for future expansion westbound as per the master plan.

I have placed an old office desk into this area so it is a small workbench area. I will be using my Digitrax Zephyr as a programming command station when I place a programming track just above where it sits in this photo. There is also a UP-5 Loconet panel on the right end of this section, hidden by the angle of this photo.
